DXD High Availability migration to new platform

Data By Design migrated one of their current Financial Services customers to a powerful new AlwaysOn and Availability Group High Availability configuration on SQL Server.

This configuration included an Asynchronous Primary/Secondary configuration on the West Coast with a Synchronous Secondary Disaster Recovery node on the East Coast. Data on the west coast replicates to the east coast in about 1.5 seconds. On failure of a server node, the primary role changes over to the secondary in about 2 seconds with zero data loss.

This migration of their 2.7TB databases was done in less than 24 hours (late Friday night to Saturday evening) without a hitch and got this multi-billion dollar company back on line with the power, storage, and availability to grow for many years into the future.
